CARBARLAH GOLF COURSE

LOCAL RULES

1. Preferred Lie: Preferred Lie may be taken within 1 card length on all fairways (closely mown and /or indicated by line marking around greens). Relief from bare patches may be taken within 1 card length, no nearer to the hole.
2. Tree Roots: Relief from tree roots may only be taken on fairways. Players may take 1 club length relief and drop within a club length, no nearer to the hole.
3. Abnormal Course Conditions: are marked with white lines or roped off. Players may drop within 1 club length no nearer to the hole, at point of relief.
4. Bridges: A ball lying on any of the bridges on the 7^th, 16^th & 9^th 18^th are deemed to be in the Penalty Area.
5. Out Of Bounds (OOB): Any ball on or crossing the Golf Club entrance road/s on 1^st & 10^th and 9^th & 18^th holes, or crossing boundary fences, or entering the driving range on the 9^th and 18^th holes (marked with OOB pegs), is deemed OOB. All shots deemed OOB, must be replayed from the spot at which originally played under Stroke and distance Penalty.
6. Immovable Obstructions: Relief may be taken from the Distance Markers (100-150 mtrs) under the Immovable Obstruction Rule. Rule 16. If a player hits a Distance Marker, they must replay the shot. This procedure must also be followed if interference occurs from the Army Alert Beacons around the course.
7. Football field: No play allowed from sporting field. Relief from field, no nearer to the hole, must be taken adjacent to the 5^th

TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES

1. Casual Water: Relief may be taken from Casual Water in the General Area, by dropping within 1 card length, no nearer to the hole, at nearest point of relief.
2. Putting Greens: A player may repair plug and spike marks, and take relief from bare patches within 1 card length, no nearer to the hole, at the nearest point of relief.
